The restaurant is renowned for its contemporary Austrian cuisinereflecting Franz's heritage. Many recent additions to the menus are distinctly American in flavor. The picture windows in the Victorian dining room offer a panoramic view of Lake Waramaug. When the weather is pleasantguests may dine outside on a flagstone terrace shaded by a grand horse chestnut tree. In the cooler monthsa roaring fire in the Tavern Room provides a warm and intimate atmosphere.

There are eleven guest rooms and two apartments available for lodging all year. The restaurant is open from late March through January 1 of each year.
