It's time for Lake Norman Delta Waterfowl to give back to the community. Bring your kidsgrandkids or any future hunter aged 4-15 out to experience things such as building a wood duck boxgoose hunting and working dog demonstrationsduck callingfirearm safetyarchery rangeBB gun range and more.

Lunch will be provided and entry is free!!! Each child will receive a hatduck call and a t-shirt in addition to a youth membership!

Our first year was a HUGE success finishing 3rd in the state only to the Lake Norman and Triangle chapterswe were also the #1 new chapter on the east coast. Here's an official pamphlet of what we've got going on with plenty more being added each day.

As you can seethis event will be at Dorton Arena (the weird UFO looking building) on the NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. It's going to be bigger than ever. You do NOT want to miss this event.

As always with any Delta eventa portion of the proceeds will stay in our chapter to be spent locally here in NC promoting waterfowl hunting and conservation. Triangle Delta Waterfowlalong with the Bayboro chapterputs on an annual youth hunt (we've got another big one planned for this February) as well as a veterans hunt that will be next week at Mattamuskeet.

Attended the Delta Chapter event in Mooresville and it was great. I used to attend the DU ones until DU refused to support local hunters for someone who complained on Lake Norman because DU stated they don't support huntingjust waterfowl conservation. It was odd that they would say they won't support hunters which make up the majority of the funds for them but I guess that was their official stance. Delta Waterfowl and the NRA both did jump in and supported local hunters rights to squash it as there was never any accidents on the lake due to hunting and conservation confirmed that. Solong story shortany support in funds or dinners my brother and hunting buddies attend with me are now only for Delta Waterfowl and never again for DU. Just figured for those hunters out therethey should know the story. Good luck to Delta WFI wish them the best of luck.
