did you purchase the moog offset or ' adjustable ' BJs aiming to correct pinion angle of lift (
which is maybe related to your second question about angle finder ) ?
That is the only way I can see anyone at napa or wherever charging that much for two crappy Moog balljoints which you're gonna have to replace in a year or two unless you have stock wheels/tires w/ that 4" of lift (
I doubt) .
You should ask first on here ; you could have used a vendor code for JKOwners members at
@RiverCityOffroad or contacted
@PIG from Synergy Mfg about getting some 1ton BJs and not paid but around $150-200 for much heavier duty b .
Likewise you could go further into things and splurge on rebuildable adjustable tension and lifetime guaranteed BJs of the highest quality in the form of RareParts balljoints which I believe are sold through SkyJacker now as well as thru RareParts but those are $600-$700 bucks.
Soyeah; you have paid far far too much for a moog balljoint if you were charged almost $400 for a set from
Napa
Here's a thought ; post their part # for us as well as the intended purpose of what you're asking about an angle finder for . You wanna have pinion side of driveshaft with +\- 2 ° of each other if running double cardon CV driveshafts which you need with 4" of lift. Usually this is accomplished with adjust control arms . There is no steering issue nor "caster" setting on a Jeep JK/JKU that's gonna be corrected by offset balljoints .
Please post images and part number of the bj so better advise can be shared.
