    The cost of attending college isn't just tuition and fees. We do our best to give you the whole pictureshowing you an estimated budget for the whole school year that also includes budget estimates for room and boardbooks and suppliesand living expenses.

  • Financial Aid Information

    At SIUwe believe that education should be accessible to allregardless of financial need. That's why we offer a wide range of financial opportunitiessuch as grantsloanspart-time employmentand scholarships. Our goal is to empower ambitious individuals to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential.     Students may request a 15 minute Virtual Financial Aid Advisement Session through Microsoft TEAMS. Sessions are currently being offered Monday thru Friday 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. by appointment only.

  • AIM High / Saluki Commitment

    We are constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible in education and striving to create a more inclusive and empowering environment for our students. Our AIM High/Saluki Commitment and AIM High/Saluki Transfer Commitment guarantees full coverage of tuition and mandatory feesto even more Illinois families.

    In our relentless pursuit of student success and engagementwe've increased the income limit for eligibility to $120,480. By doing sowe are making our premierhands-on education more accessible and affordable to middle-income Illinoisans who may not qualify for traditional need-based financial aid.

    You do not need to submit additional information beyond your application and FAFSA to be considered for the AIM High/Saluki Commitment. If you qualifywe will automatically include it in your financial aid packageand you will be notified when you receive your package.
